What’s Your Andaz?

Hyatt Andaz

Traveling is a passion that many of us share. The sights, sounds, and smells are all part of the adventure that a new destination brings. This was our inspiration for a short film titled “What’s Your Andaz?” that we created for the launch of Hyatt Andaz in Shanghai. The film tells the story of an Andaz guest (a photojournalist) in town for business, going about his day working and exploring Shanghai through the eyes of the Andaz brand experience. At the end of his day, he finds himself back – not at just any hotel, but – where he should be: home.

Andaz is Hyatt’s new collection of contemporary, boutique-inspired hotels, located in the dynamic, distinctive neighbourhoods of key world cities and inspiring resorts. The Shanghai property is the first Andaz in Asia, and is located in the Xintiandi area (88 Songshand Rd.)

Shanghai Salvaged

Hyatt Andaz

For Hyatt ANDAZ in Shanghai, we designed and produced a sofa bench entirely out of recycled / second-hand wood titled “Shanghai Salvaged.” To make this environmental-friendly piece come to life, we collected scrap wood from different locations throughout Shanghai – old doors, window frames, tables, dressers, chairs, construction walls, etc…all stuff that otherwise would’ve been thrown away. The piece sits in the lobby of the hotel, right next to the main entrance.

Horizon Club – “Long Gaze”

Shangri La

We collaborated with designer and painter Zhu Jianhang to create artwork representing Shanghai for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts “Horizon Club Artist Series.” The series is collection of commissioned artwork for each of Shangri-La’s destinations inspired by the property’s Horizon Club view.

Zhu Jianhang’s design, titled “Long Gaze,” presents a view of Jing’An district in Shanghai from the vantage point of the Shangri-La Horizon Club.

The artwork is available for download as a digital wallpaper for mobile phones, laptop desktops, etc.
