ZX750 Guerrilla Street Art Project

To celebrate adidas Originals bringing back its iconic late-1980s ZX750 runners to China in a limited edition ‘bluebird dark slate’ colorway, we executed an epic guerrilla street-art campaign. The campaign engaged street artist crews in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu to bomb their hometowns with interpretations of the shoes in varied art styles.

Before hitting the streets, we pre-designed a stop-motion animation with hundreds of frames. Each frame of the animation featured the shoes in different positions. The frames were assigned to different artists around the country who had the freedom to recreate them in their own art stye. When the artists executed their artwork on the city walls, our photography team captured hi-res photos of each artwork. These photos were reassembled as the frames in this stop-motion video.

The animation tells the story of the ZX750s going on a nationwide journey while coming alive on city walls across China. The shoes’ urban adventure has them walking, jogging, jumping, spinning, dancing, etc., while the street-art styles and techniques morph from wheatpaste, to stencil, spray paint, marker, and stickers. The animation also links up a few select storefront treatments we incorporated into the campaign.


我们为adidas Originals复刻其八十年代末的ZX750经典鞋款进行了大规模的游击式街头艺术活动,此次旨在宣传ZX750暗灰蓝配色款在中国市场的推广。该活动集结了北京、上海、广州和成都的街头艺术家分别在各自城市中以多样化的街头艺术形式展现这双经典鞋款。

在街头执行之前,我们预先设计了一个几百帧的定格动画,这双跑鞋不停的走到不同的地点。我们将画面分配给不同的艺术家,并由他们在各自城市进行自由创作,而在每一位艺术家开始墙上创作时,我们的摄影团队则跟拍捕捉了这些作品的高清图片画面。最后这些照片也被融合到原本的定格短片中。

该短片展现了一场关于ZX750游走于中国各城墙面的国境之旅。这双跑鞋被艺术家们以wheatpaste、stencil、喷绘、马克笔涂鸦以及贴纸等街头艺术技艺在它的城市探险中漫步、小跑、跳跃、旋转、跳舞等等。片中亦展现出参与此次宣传的品牌指定店铺。

Seasonal Campaign

adidas Originals

We created the Fall / Winter 2014 seasonal campaign for adidas Originals in Greater China. Working with celebrities and brand ambassadors Eason Chan, Fan Bingbing, Charlene Choi, Gianna Jun, and JJ Lin in raw authentic urban environments, the campaign key visuals and videos communicated the true street fashion spirit of the brand.

The campaign was shot in Beijing, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Seoul, with assets used nationwide in retail / point-of-sale, digital, and print media. For the project, we collaborated with New York-based photographer Carmen Chan, Beijing-based photographer Chen Man, and Seoul-based photographer Hong JangHyun.


我们为adidas Originals中国大陆地区2014年秋冬系列创作了季度广告。这次的主视觉和短片真实展现出其品牌代言人陈奕迅、范冰冰、蔡卓妍、全智贤和林俊杰的形象,在真实的城市场景中还原了品牌的街头时尚精神。

该系列广告于北京、台湾、香港以及首尔拍摄,作品被广泛运用于其全国的品牌零售店铺、网络和平面媒体的广告栏。与此同时,我们与来自于纽约的摄影师Carmen Chan、北京摄影师陈漫以及韩国摄影师Hong JangHyun共同合作完成了这一季的平面主视觉。

Wallpaper & Lockscreen Designs

Nokia

We designed and photographed a series of wallpaper / lockscreen imagery for use on Nokia 820 and 920 mobile phones. We created the imagery based on two general themes: 1) “The Amazing Everyday,” and 2) rich, striking color.

The purpose of producing the imagery was not only to offer users compelling content to personalize their devices, but also to transform the traditionally predictable stock image library into a daily source of visual inspiration for users.

The featuring of high quality, art-inspired imagery sets the brand apart as one that promotes exceptional design standards. The images come pre-loaded on the devices and are available to users globally.

For this project, we collaborated with 4 leading edge Chinese artists: Graphic Airlines, Ren Hang, Momo, and Xiaomi Keke.

Year of the Horse

Gap

To celebrate the Year of the Horse, we created a limited-edition graphic tee for Gap. The tee graphic is a mosaic of an American flag made up of running horses. The tee is available in limited quantities at Gap stores in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan throughout the festival season.

Limited-Edition Packaging Design

Sprite

We created a set of limited-edition packaging designs for Sprite. We worked with Shanghai-based digital illustrator Elephant to bring to life the basketball and skateboarding-themed cans, which feature brand ambassadors Kobe Bryant and Jay Chou. The cans were made available throughout greater China.

Art Inspired iPhone Cases

Mocamomo

In collaboration with Mocamomo, we created an exclusive collection of art-inspired iPhone cases that featuring work from Chinese artists and designers.

Representing a variety of styles and mediums including illustration, photography, graphic design, and painting, each case is unique and shows off a little piece of Chinese creative culture.

The collaboration brings together 8 leading-edge Chinese artists: Nini Sum, Nanguazi, Huzi, Ren Hang, Xiaomi Keke, Fatty Chen, Tanse, and Hua Tunan.


我们与Mocamomo合作,创作了一组由中国艺术家和设计师参与的“艺术启迪”iPhone手机壳系列。

该系列涵括各种艺术风格和手法:插画,摄影,平面设计和绘画。每一个手机壳都代表着中国创意文化的一部分。
